T-7 BOMBARDMENT FIGHTER

This was something I didn't really plan to do. I find 'vertical' spaceship designs interesting, so I thought I might try make something that is more 'vertical'.

Lore

The T-7 is a heavy fighter designed to destroy fortifications or armored targets with its primary 'rail-cannon'. Seasoned pilots have noted that flying this heavy fighter is like a ritual sacrifice. The mass of the rail-cannon requires it to have bigger thrusters and fuel tanks to compensate. Its armor plates have been removed before in hopes of increasing the fighter's maneuverability, but it never actually improved its chances. Instead the T-7 is outfitted with missile launchers that are capable of burst-firing missiles with limited tracking capabilities or a salvo of dumb-fire missiles. Enemy fighters would take advantage of this and attack the T-7 on its side, either when its turning or on its attack run. The T-7's side has a big surface area, with its fuel-tanks and ammunition being vulnerable; allowing enemy fighters to easily dispatch the T-7. However in surprise attacks, the T-7 shines; with its ability to 'transport' a weapon equivalent of a heavy artillery piece, a T-7 that is able to position itself within target-range will be able to deliver devastating strikes to enemy positions. Thus, veteran pilots in T-7s are usually never seen, only known as the 'unseen apocalypse' that can suddenly cripple enemy targets and then disappear without a trace.
